What I'm doing

Right now I sending my first book (the Rose book) out to potentially interested parties. It's a modern retelling of the traditional Scottish fairytale of Tam Linn, told for a young adult audience, and I'm hoping that someone else will love it as much as I do.

Other than that I'm writing poems (some of which you'll find on the blog here), tarting them up, and submitting them to magazines (sometimes successfully - more info on the poetry page).

I write a regular column for Scotland 4 Kids (in fact I should be finishing one up as I write this).

From time to time I write catch up posts under What I'm Writing to keep you up to date, and you can get more information on those, although some of it shall remain secret. For now...

Sharing our poetry in Robert Burns' kitchen! As you do!

I took part in Museums at Night 2016, where I joined up with fellow poets Katharine Macfarlane, Rosie Mapplebeck, and Jane Overton to entertain a very lovely audience (and each other) in Robert Burns' very own kitchen.
